It's almost August. Pencils, folders and crayons are filling the aisles at Target and Walmart. I search online for Office Depot's penny folder sale. It's almost time to go back to school. In June, I closed my classroom door wondering what the new school would look like. Will my students return energetic and ready to learn? Did they read over the summer? Or will they experience summer reading loss? 
I am spending my last few free weeks catching up on books that have been sitting on my nightstand from last summer. What a great role model I am! This summer my first three reads are:
